“The workshop helped us identify three other parts of the organisation that working effectively with would be critical to success. We felt these above all others needed robust lines of communication. And indeed there was the potential for the three entities to work together - thereby reducing the dependency on the Project Management Office (PMO) to cohere activity. So they wanted to explore ways of improving those lines of communication. This formed the ’love triangle’ - three apexes, with the PMO in the centre (hub and spoke). The kicker was that one of those other organisation entities had representation at the event, came over, declared his part of the love triangle, and started a dialogue about achieving that very thing.
So the opportunity was spotted, articulated, and dialogue towards achievement happened in the space of 45 mins.
