Building Facilitator Capability
The situation and brief
Paragon identified a need to enhance its facilitation capability to improve collaboration, meeting effectiveness, and innovation. With projects becoming more complex, the organisation sought training that would equip colleagues with practical skills to lead workshops and meetings that deliver clear outcomes and foster inclusive participation. Treehouse were invited to deliver a tailored Facilitation Skills Training session, focused on real-world scenarios and immediate application, to build confidence and embed facilitation as a core capability.
The Treehouse solution and activity
Treehouse delivered an interactive, practice-led training session using the TREEANGLE methodology and a suite of facilitation tools. The session featured:
Foundation Skills: Introduction to the TREEANGLE process, covering problem framing, option generation, and decision-making.
Tool Blending: Exploration of facilitation tools for different meeting formats (virtual, hybrid, face-to-face).
Live Practice: Small group facilitation exercises, feedback, and troubleshooting using real Paragon scenarios.
Flow Design: Guidance on structuring sessions, setting objectives, and managing group dynamics.
Toolkit Cards: Each participant received a deck of Treehouse toolkit cards to support ongoing skill development.
The outcome or impact
The training left Paragon colleagues feeling confident and equipped to lead engaging, outcome-driven meetings and workshops. Key impacts included:
