MANAGING CONTRIBUTION TRAINING PROGRAMME

A management and leadership programme to increase the contribution or difference, people make to the success of an organisation.

Contribution Training Programme

What is the aim? What does improving contribution bring to your organisation?

When everyone contributes fully, organisational objectives are met through people - their potential is realised and they feel fulfilled. Put simply - the organisation functions smoothly:

  • Leaders Lead

  • Managers Manage

  • Team Members Do

  • And Deputies Develop

to deliver delighted customers, reliable suppliers and stakeholder and shareholder value.

What is the recipe?

The programme will run for approximately one year and typically includes:

  1. A kick-off including a contribution training needs assessment and individual Growth Plan.

  2. Between 5 and 10 1:1 Executive Coaching sessions per person with an independent, dedicated Treehouse coach via telephone or virtually. Each session runs for about 45 minutes with the goal of focusing on one issue and then resolving it.

  3. Action Learning Sets run in peer groups to unblock issues encountered when implementing new ways of working and creating change.

  4. Training modules. Group training sessions focussed on topics relevant to the contribution level of the managers in that group (we call them ‘Contribution Cohorts’). Usually 3-8 modules per year.

  5. Senior Leadership Team (SLT) workshops. – Face-to-face sessions, to work on team-specific issues, run several times a year.

Why is this contribution programme so powerful? (below needs updating)

  • It's EFFECTIVE - the backbone of the programme is one to one Contribution Coaching which gives you the tools, confidence and long-term support needed to change
  • It's AGILE - every programme is tailored and flexible to suit your team's ongoing needs
  • It's WELL FOUNDED - the Contribution Curve provides sound, well researched underpinning.

Why is this contribution programme so powerful?

  • It's EFFECTIVE – we have fine-tuned the recipe to give your organisation the maximum contribution for your investment, and the results are impressive. Waste and re-work is down. Employee engagement and retention of staff is up. Customers move from disgruntled or dissatisfied, through satisfied to delighted. (who wants a mildly satisfied customer? Not me!)
  • It's TARGETED – every programme is tailored to your team’s needs; a contribution diagnostic identifies the training needs of your team, built from the bottom up.
  • It's AGILE – the programme is adjusted as we go along to ensure the best return on investment – from the number of coaching sessions and training modules per person to the topics covered, we review each person’s progress and adjust in real-time.
  • It's WELL-FOUNDED - the Contribution Curve provides sound, well-researched underpinning.

What will the contribution programme be like?

  • It's serious fun – highly interactive, enjoyable and refreshing, with just the right balance of support and challenge.
  • Target Audience: Leaders, managers and team leaders, especially in departments, groups or project teams who work together regularly.
  • Duration Approximately 1 year - dependent on the needs of the delegate, the programme design and the progress of the individual.
The programme has had a dramatic impact on people; developing them from managers to capable leaders who are making a real difference. Truly valuing contribution; setting direction, not telling, creating engagement, developing others and leading with authenticity & humility.
