Your Personal Brand

Course Description

Imagine being able to influence people’s perception of you, and in turn how they respond to you.

Being conscious and deliberate about your Personal Brand – what it currently is, what you want it to be and how you can get there – can change people’s perception and response to you. Your Personal Brand impacts how your team, your peers and seniors view you; it even affects your promotion prospects.

This course will help you understand your Personal Brand and how to evolve it to positively influence people's perceptions of you, now and in the future.

WHAT TOPICS ARE COVERED?

Our courses are tailored to your needs by selecting from a list of tools, each of which is an individual topic and takes about an hour. Each tool generally covers one key management skill, behaviour or attribute, is accompanied by a toolcard (which builds up to create a personalised toolkit) and uses our Tell-Show-Do experiential learning methodology.

Personal Brand Toolkit

You can select from the list of tools below to create learning that is just right for your needs or get in touch with one of our trainers to help design and curate the right programme for your team.

Choose from:

Building your reputation

Building my Authority, Presence and Impact will help me grow my professional reputation and build my brand equity.

Brand Positioning

Brands define how they want to be perceived through their positioning. What people think of them is their equity. The gap is the task at hand.

Influence

I can influence what people think about me by being more intentional about how I will behave and conduct myself.

Your Presence

Presence can be enhanced by building your gravitas – we cover how to build status and connection, how to deal with tricky people, how to win hearts and minds. All this while being confident, clear, original and speaking with authority.

How long is the course?

It depends on how much time you want to invest – on average 2-3 hours excluding the optional extra reading.

What can you expect?

An interactive, thought-provoking on-line module using a variety of methods: from videos, to activities and exercises, to e-learning, to further reading.

  • Thought Provoker: You will create your own brand positioning using a ‘thought provoker’ worksheet.
  • Feedback: You will be invited to gain 360° feedback from your peers, seniors and team using our downloadable template, so you can reflect on what they’ve said to understand your brand equity.
  • Closing the Gap: You’ll then work through how to close the gap between positioning and equity so that how people perceive you is how you would like to be perceived.

Optional Extras

‘Action Plan’ Assignment with feedback

If you choose the ‘assignment’ optional extra you will be given an Action Planning worksheet to submit to a real-life tutor who will give you feedback on What Works Well about your Action Plan and what could be Even Better If…

Tutor time

If you chose the ‘Tutor Time’ optional extra, you’ll meet a real-life tutor virtually to help you with any of the course material (it’s your agenda!) and/or work through your Action Plan to help you create a powerful and compelling personal brand.

Your Personal Brand course tutors have held senior positions on well-known brands such as Kenco, Philadelphia and Radox, and have since applied that expertise to Personal Branding over the last 15 years or so.
